By winning their final game of last season 14-1 against Kelantan The Real Warriors ( record winning margin in a Malaysian Super League game), Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) equalled the world record for the longest men's league unbeaten streak.
JDT then had to wait the best part of three months to surpass the 32-year-old record, which they did on Friday by beating last season’s league runners-up Kuching City.
The Southern Tigers are utterly dominant in Malaysia thanks to the investment from the Crown Prince of Johor.

Vietnam beat Thailand 2-0 in the first leg of the 2026 ASEAN Championship final to move within touching distance of retaining their regional title.

A court in Paris upheld the club’s relegation to the French sixth tier despite an appeal by Bordeaux’s new owners. This means they will play amateur football in the 26/27 season with liquidation now a real possibilty.
