Jurgen Klinsmann is, for all intents and purposes, a Californian. He moved there after his playing career ended and lived there during his five years as USA head coach. He still lives there as South Korea head coach.

Hired as the Taegeuk Warriors’ new manager after the 2022 World Cup, Klinsmann vowed to move to South Korea where he would take a hands-on approach. To date, though, the German has spent just 67 days in the country. He still hasn’t left Los Angeles.
US fans, of course, are familiar with this pattern. Klinsmann made, and broke, countless promises during his time as USMNT boss and history already appears to be repeating itself now that he is at the helm of South Korea.
South Korean fans are now learning about Klinsmann just as US fans did a number of years ago.
