No matter what happens over the next few weeks, Hearts will never forget the 2025/26 season.

With three games to go, the Tynecastle side are sitting three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table. It’s been 40 years since a team not called Celtic or Rangers won the title.

Hearts, however, are simultaneously involved in another title race this season. Another pursuit of history as pace-setters at the top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

In their 17-year history, Hearts Women have never won the title.

They’ve never even lifted a piece of silverware before, instead watching from afar as Glasgow’s Big Three (including Glasgow City in women’s football) dominated.

Now, though, Hearts are just three games from a landmark achievement. In both men’s and women’s football, the Scottish football landscape is shifting.
